What can hypnotherapy help with?
Hypnotherapy can support a wide range of goals, including stress, anxiety, sleep problems, pain management, fears and phobias, emotional eating, habits like smoking, boosting confidence, and improving focus. It’s also a powerful tool for personal growth. While hypnotherapy is not a substitute for medical or psychological care, it can be a meaningful complement that promotes mental and emotional well-being.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions depends on your specific goals and what you're working on. Some clients experience noticeable improvements after just a few sessions, while others benefit from more sessions to reinforce and deepen the changes.
Generally, 3 to 5 sessions is a good starting point, and we’ll adjust the plan based on your unique progress.
Can I be hypnotized online or do I need to come in person?
Online sessions are just as effective—sometimes even more so—because you can relax and experience transformation in the comfort of your own home. Currently, I offer online hypnotherapy only, with plans to offer in-person sessions in the future.
As long as you have a quiet space, headphones, a stable internet connection, and a comfortable place to sit or lie down, you can enjoy the full benefits of hypnosis from anywhere. If you have pets, I recommend making a plan ahead of time to avoid distractions.
What can I expect during a session with you?
We’ll begin with a relaxed conversation about your goals and any questions you may have. Then, I’ll guide you into a calm, receptive state where your subconscious mind is more open to positive suggestions. Using techniques customized to your needs, I’ll help you shift limiting beliefs, release unwanted patterns, and reinforce the changes you want to see in your life. Most clients leave the session feeling refreshed, empowered, and more in tune with their goals.
How does hypnotherapy work?
Hypnotherapy works by accessing the subconscious mind, where all our habits, emotions, and deeply rooted beliefs are stored. During the relaxed state of hypnosis, the hypnotherapist can help reframe limiting thoughts, process emotions, and introduce new, positive ways of thinking. Real change happens at the subconscious level.
Will I lose control during a session?
The image of people quacking like ducks or being controlled by a swinging watch—popularized by stage hypnosis in movies and TV—creates a misleading impression. In reality, hypnosis is a therapeutic process where you remain fully aware and in control.
How Long are sessions and how much do they cost?
Sessions last about an hour and cost $150 per session. I also offer package deals for those committed to long-term change, providing savings. Please reach out, and we’ll find the best option for your needs.
What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a pleasant, relaxed, yet focused state where your mind becomes more open to positive suggestions and change. It’s similar to being deeply engaged in a book, movie, or even while driving on autopilot. During hypnosis, you're fully aware and in control, but your subconscious mind is more receptive to new ideas, which can help you make lasting improvements in areas like stress, habits, and personal growth.
Is hypnotherapy safe?
Yes, hypnotherapy is completely safe when practiced by a trained professional. Hypnosis cannot make you do anything against your will, and you can come out of it anytime you choose. It’s a gentle, effective tool for positive change, with no harmful side effects.
What does it feel like to be hypnotized?
It feels peaceful and relaxing, similar to how you feel just before sleep. You stay aware while your body unwinds, allowing your mind to take in positive suggestions and support lasting change.
